About me
I am a CBT therapist I currently volunteer at Crisis Counselling in Erskine working with a diverse range of clients with complex needs requiring acute services.
I also work for myself (Breakthrough&Flourish.com) and see clients in therapy room in Glasgow city centre, I also have therapy rooms available in Kirkintilloch.
I work both face to face with clients and online. I have worked with clients with many different and sometimes complex issues one to one. I have also worked with couples. I have a lot of experience and an interest in working with clients who are struggling with chronic pain or a long term condition.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling validated by COSCA and rated by UWS. I am an experienced clinician, I volunteer with services in the charity sector and working with me enables me to continue to do this. Training, qualifications & experience
Registered nurse with 35 years experience and specialist expertise in chronic pain management. Hold a Diploma in Pain Management and extensive experience in using a CBT approach in clinical practice. Significant experience in providing therapeutic support for clients using a CBT approach.
I am a member of the BABCP and the BACP and the ACC.
Member organisations
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I enjoy working with a CBT approach as I have seen many clients benefit from this model. It is a practical approach which can be used in everyday life and small changes can make a significant difference to clients.
