MNCPS Acc. Auralis Psychotherapy

About me

Hi, I'm Lisa, a Psychotherapist in Advanced Training.

Have you reached a point where you've become so used to holding everything together that you no longer notice how much energy it takes?

From the outside, your life may look as though you're coping. You keep going, support the people around you, and do what needs to be done. Yet underneath, you may feel exhausted, disconnected, or quietly wonder why life feels harder than it seems for everyone else.

Perhaps your mind rarely feels still. You replay conversations, worry about getting things wrong, or spend so much time focusing on other people's needs that you've lost sight of your own.

Maybe you're the person others rely on? The one who keeps everything moving, but there are moments when you wonder - who looks out for me?

You might tell yourself that you should be coping better, that your struggles aren't serious enough, or that you simply need to get on with it. Over time, this can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, and unsure of what needs to change.

You don't need to arrive with all the answers. Together, we'll slow things down, explore what's happening beneath the surface, and begin to make sense of your experiences in a way that brings clarity and self-understanding.

People often come to therapy with me around...

  • Anxiety, overthinking and chronic stress
  • Burnout and workplace pressures
  • Trauma and the impact of difficult experiences
  • Relationship and attachment difficulties
  • Low self-worth and self-criticism
  • People pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
  • Men's emotional wellbeing and the challenges men can face in expressing and processing emotions
  • Feeling stuck, lost, or unsure of who they are anymore

I also have a particular interest in supporting people through loss and life transitions, including bereavement, relationship endings, redundancy, changes in identity, and those times when life no longer feels as familiar as it once did.

How I work...

My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy, a relational approach that explores how our early experiences influence the way we think, feel and relate to ourselves and others today.

Therapy is not about blame or endlessly revisiting the past. It is about understanding your story with compassion, recognising patterns that may no longer serve you, and creating new possibilities for the future.

Alongside my psychotherapy training, I bring over 30 years of experience working in people-focused roles, supporting individuals through challenge, change and personal growth. This has given me a deep appreciation of the pressures people face in both their personal and professional lives.

Getting Started...

Taking the first step can often feel like the hardest part.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation call. It's an opportunity for us to talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and whether I feel like the right fit for you. There is no obligation and no pressure to continue afterwards.

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start exactly where you are.

Sessions are available in person if you are local to the Herefordshire area and online, if you are further a field or prefer the flexibility of remote sessions.
