About me

I am an integrative, relational therapist whose work is rooted in humanistic psychology, object relations theory, and attachment-based thinking.

My starting point is always human: I believe deeply in people’s capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. At the same time, I am informed by psychodynamic ideas about how early relationships and unconscious patterns can shape how we feel, relate, and see ourselves in the present.

My background includes Psychology (alongside Computer Science), and this reflects something important about me as a therapist: I am drawn both to the emotional, relational, and often messy realities of human life, and to thoughtful, structured ways of understanding and supporting change.

Over time, I have come to see relationships with others and with ourselves as central to both our difficulties and our healing. This belief shapes everything about how I work.

How I work

I work in an integrative and relational way, meaning I draw from different therapeutic approaches in a coherent and thoughtful manner, depending on what you need.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that real change often begins with feeling truly heard, understood, and respected by another person. I aim to offer warmth, empathy, and genuine presence, while also thinking carefully about what may be happening beneath the surface.

In our work together, I may:

  • Listen deeply to your story in your own words
  • Reflect on both what you bring into the room and how I experience you (in a thoughtful, contained way)
  • Offer a steady, containing presence when emotions feel overwhelming
  • Gently explore patterns in your relationships when this feels relevant
  • Use practical tools from approaches like CBT when they could be helpful
  • Stay flexible, responsive, and guided by what feels most important or urgent in each session.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed hundreds of hours of clinical work as part of my professional development, alongside undertaking the CPPD Integrative Counselling course, which has provided me with a strong foundation in working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to its ethical framework in my practice. I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as working with neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD, and people navigating bereavement. This range of experience has strengthened my ability to offer compassionate, client-centred support tailored to individual needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
