About me

My name is Lin, I am an Integrative counsellor passionate about working with women of all ages and phases of life. I work with all issues a woman may bring , but I have a special interest and training in  peri/menopause, (Embers trained) anxiety, bereavement, including, infant loss, miscarriage, fertility issues and IVF,( I am a BICA member) pregnancy, post partum support.  I also provide support to women pre and post termination.  I am a member of the BACP.

My background is working one to one with clients in a healthcare setting.  I think this clinical background is helpful when working therapeutically with women navigating life transitions. I have been a volunteer for Cruse for several years and I'm an accredited member of the Foundation of Infant Loss. I am a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association.

Studies have proven women are more likely to struggle with generalised anxiety and depression during peri/menopause. This hormonal transition often collides with life changes such as children leaving home or ageing parents. Women in this phase can feel overwhelmed and confused about their body changes or their role in the family or society. I help women to reflect and understand why the menopause maybe triggering emotions around relationships or bringing up buried issues they could previously ignore. I work with the CBT Embers model for peri/menopause.

I have a non judgemental and inclusive approach and I hope to offer every woman respect, honesty and understanding.

My fees are £60 for 1 hour in person. £50 for 1 hour on Zoom.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
