About me

Many people come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of themselves, and want to feel calmer and more in control.

I am a qualified, accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 18 years in practice, working with adults, children, and young people.

I mainly support adults experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and loss, who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, as well as young people navigating emotional or life challenges.

I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe and supportive. My approach is flexible and tailored to you as an individual, drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in a way that best suits your needs.

I work with:
• Anxiety and overthinking
• Stress and feeling overwhelmed
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Depression and low mood
• Trauma and past experiences
• Bereavement and loss
• Family and relationship difficulties
• Young people’s emotional wellbeing

Together, we can begin to make sense of what you're experiencing and find a way forward that feels manageable and right for you.

I have extensive experience supporting young people and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

I offer both short-term and longer-term work, depending on your needs, with sessions available online and in person.

Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if this is your first time seeking support, but you don’t have to face things alone. I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and see if I’m the right fit for you, with no pressure.

You’re very welcome to get in touch whenever you feel ready.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
