About me
When thinking about therapy, it might be difficult to know where to start or what to expect. From my experience, the best way is to have a face-to-face initial consultation. This will allow you to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable in sharing your feelings and thoughts with me. There is no obligation to continue after the first meeting. Usually, I allow 3-4 sessions before deciding on working together. If we both agree that therapy can be beneficial then we will have our agreement, including a regular weekly time slot and a fee. If I feel that you would benefit more from working with another specialist, I will do my best to refer you to the right person or organisation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I started my psychotherapy journey more than 15 years ago. I first came to psychotherapy as a client trying to find answers to so many questions. This experience changed my life and brought me to a new career path.
I am an integrative psychotherapist which means I combine different psychotherapeutic modalities including analytic, existential and humanistic, depending on my client’s situation. Currently, I have a particular interest in the relationships people have with themselves and with others. I believe that a lot of human suffering comes from experiences obtained in relationships and therefore can be healed in those relationships.
I provide a safe and confidential space where trusting relationships between client and therapist can be nurtured to facilitate change. Research suggests that therapeutic relationships are the most important contributing factor to successful therapy.
Education
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Regents University, London. I have also completed a Doctorate in psychology at the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Ukraine.
I’m a UKCP accredited psychotherapist which means I’m bound by the ethics and standards of this organisation. The UKCP is the leading professional body for psychotherapy in the UK.
I have previous experience working for the NHS and in a women’s charity in Camden.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
