About me
If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, lost, or simply not like yourself, you don't have to face it alone. Life can feel confusing at times, and it isn't always one single event that affects how we think or feel. Sometimes it's a combination of relationships, family experiences, work pressures, or years of putting others first that leaves us feeling stuck.
I offer a warm, calm, and accepting space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind, without fear of judgement. Whether you're carrying something that has happened recently or something you've lived with for years, we can explore it together at a pace that feels right for you.
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen with empathy and compassion, helping you make sense of your experiences, understand your thoughts and feelings more deeply, and recognise patterns or beliefs that may no longer be serving you. Together, we can work towards building your self-esteem, strengthening your confidence, and helping you reconnect with your own resilience and inner strengths.
I value the small steps just as much as the big breakthroughs. Change doesn't always happen dramatically, and I believe it's important to recognise and celebrate the progress that others may not see.
We can explore a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, family dynamics, low self-esteem, feeling different from others, anxiety, feeling stuck, or simply trying to understand yourself better. Whatever brings you to counselling, you'll be met with warmth, curiosity, and genuine care.
If you're considering counselling and wondering whether we're the right fit, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as a Gestalt therapist in 2018 and have spent the past nine years working in counselling and supportive roles across mental health services, bereavement support, hospitals, and education. These varied settings have given me the opportunity to work alongside people from different backgrounds and with a wide range of life experiences.
I have experience supporting people with a wide range of mental health concerns, including bereavement, neurodivergence, anxiety, low self-esteem, and the challenges that can arise through life's many transitions.
I am committed to continuing my professional development and regularly undertake additional training to deepen my understanding and best support my clients. Areas in which I have recently completed further training include autism and eating disorders, understanding ADHD and how early attachment experiences shape our decisions.
Throughout my development, I have received some really heartwarming feedback from clients, tutors and peers about my warmth, empathy and ability to help people feel heard. Creating a safe, accepting space where you can better understand yourself and move towards positive change is at the heart of everything I do.

Further information
I am based in Holbury (Southampton, Hampshire) and have a home office in a peaceful garden setting, which is accessible via the side gate. There is plenty of parking space available on the driveway.
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation with no obligation to continue. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions, find out more about how I work, and get a sense of whether I’m the right counsellor for you. It's also a chance for us to talk about what has brought you to counselling and how we might work together.
