About me
Hello and welcome!
I understand from personal experience that taking the first step and considering counselling can be daunting! Whether you need support with grief, anxiety, or life's challenges, together, we can explore this and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Counselling can help you process and heal pain, learn new ways of dealing with life’s challenges and deepen your understanding of yourself. Counselling is a place where all your emotions are accepted and welcome from the darkest moments to the moments of joy and clarity.
I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space where together we can explore your deepest concerns at your own pace, supporting your growth toward healing, emotional freedom, and self-acceptance.
I understand that every person is unique, and with my experience in both nursing and counseling, I take a holistic approach that recognises the connection between emotional and physical health. Each session is tailored to your individual needs. This could involve using different techniques, creative methods, mindfulness, meditation, or tools to help you manage your emotions. We might also explore patterns in your life or attachment styles to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
I have experience and training to support many issues including grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, coping with chronic ill health, spirituality, trauma, carer stress, and domestic abuse.
Loss:
I have a particular passion and training for supporting and sitting alongside people with all types of loss, including bereavement, loss of relationships or friendships, pet loss, loss of a career or job, loved ones facing ill health or a palliative prognosis, and loved ones having dementia.
Dealing with loss, grief or life changes is an inevitable part of the human experience and can profoundly change you. Grief can bring up a range of emotions, like sadness, anger, guilt, or even relief. If you are struggling with a loss or multiple losses from any point in your life and it is having an impact on your life and relationships, talking to someone and processing your feelings can provide relief and reduce the sense of isolation that often accompanies grief. Together, we can work through the challenges of loss, help you understand your emotions, and find healthy ways to cope.
Identity exploration:
Through my own experiences, I’ve learned that facing loss and the fear of death can help us develop a deeper appreciation for life and reconnect with who we truly are. I am also passionate about supporting people who want to explore their identity—sometimes, even if life looks perfect on the outside, we still feel like something’s missing. You might struggle with finding joy, and purpose, or question your choices.
This journey can take many paths—it might involve confronting past hurts or trauma, hidden parts of yourself, relationships, societal or family pressures, or exploring what has led to masking or people-pleasing. While this journey can lead to deeper self-connection, peace, and acceptance, it can be challenging, and having support can make a big difference in navigating the emotions and decisions that come up.
Counselling can be a rewarding and transformative journey that not only leads to healing but can lead to profound personal growth, improved relationships, fulfilment, empowerment, newfound resilience, and more peace and joy in your life!
Good Luck in your search and if you choose me, I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery!

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
