About me

Hello and thank you for reading my profile.  I am a face to face  & fully qualified 'Online' Psychosexual Therapist & Supervisor.  I currently work Online using, Teams or Meet,  in the UK, Northern Ireland but also Worldwide.

Many of my clients seek help for their relationship, as a couple or individual, e.g. for general and specific relationship problems, or for sexual problems e.g. low sex drive, sex addiction,(erectile dysfunction, including porn induced} unable to orgasm, painful sex and more. Specialist interest - Couples; the compulsive sexual behaviour has stopped, but you feel stuck in negative relationship dynamics. Let's help you to make the necessary shift into action. Polyamory relationship dynamics that can be complicated.

People struggling to keep their sexual behaviour within the UK legal system (please see website). I have been trained for this specialist work with individuals & their partners. I work to prevent people acting on thoughts they may have and/or with people that have been charged under the legal system.

For client's with compulsive sexual behaviour: e.g. porn, chat/web/hook up sites/escorts.  This has a huge impact on relationships and on the person caught up in the destructive cycle of addiction. Most people with compulsive sexual behaviour feel extremely alone and are full of guilt and shame which drives them towards the behaviour even more.  Partners are often traumatised and the 'addict' can be in fierce denial about how their behaviour is impacting so negatively on them & their relationship. I have a lot of therapy experience and understanding of traumatised women with a partner that is 'lost' to sexual addiction. If you recognise yourself in any of these descriptions I would be pleased to asses your situation, ultimately to help you find yourself and your way forward, through this confusing and painful situation.

Love 'addicts': Most 'sex addicts' are men, but woman are also starting to come forward.  Woman more commonly present as 'love addicts,' (but men can be love addicts too) which is another destructive and emotionally painful condition.  Sadly there is even more stigma attached to female 'sex addicts' than male counterparts which further prevents them for seeking help.  If you are one of these women please contact me and you will be treated sensitively, confidentially, without judgement and a with a full understanding of the struggle for you.  I shall help you to stabilise your emotions and behaviour and to understand yourself better. People can and do learn how to discontinue compulsions that are detrimental to their wellbeing.

Mental health conditions : www.canwetalkmentalhealththerapysolutions.co.uk I also work daily with people that have troubling mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, bereavement, loss, family problems and many more conditions. I have a lot of experience helping people to overcome these conditions. If that is your situation I would be pleased to hear from you enquiries@canwetalktherapysolutions.co.uk

Confidentiality: I don't have employees, so clients contact me directly and no other personnel are involved.  The minimal client notes I keep, are stored securely and are not seen by anybody else. I uphold client confidentiality and privacy. If there is any specific aspect of confidentiality that you are worried about - please let me know and I shall try hard to accommodate your needs.

Whatever your problem, I will fully assess you and we shall work in collaboration to help you find a happier emotional place to be.  If we can have an appropriate sense of humour too, then we can lighten the load.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I work integratively meaning that I can use a variety of approaches to best suit the individual.  'One size does not fit all'.

I also work holistically i.e. I take into account what is important about a client 'as a whole', not just as a person with e.g. a mental health condition.

I regularly use Compassionate Focussed Therapy, particularly to help people experiencing a lot of shame.

I regularly undertake Continued Professional Development & training, to keep up to date with new views, research findings and new approaches.
