I am an Accredited Emotional Therapeutic Counsellor with over 25 years’ experience in Healthcare, 10 years working as a registered nurse. Being a compassionate individual, I genuinely care about people. I offer a professional, confidential service within a safe, non-judgemental environment.
It takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help so finding the right therapist is essential. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This is a good way for me to understand why you are seeking therapy and you can establish if I am someone you feel you could work with.
What does counselling involve:
At some point in our lives we may feel overwhelmed with our emotions but unable to identify why. As your counsellor I will be with you on your journey of self-exploration. I will support you through the process of change and personal growth.
Sessions are focused around your needs using a variety of therapeutic techniques. We work at your pace, safely exploring the issues you bring to your session in confidence and without fear of judgement.
Counselling can support in restoring your sense of wellbeing. This is key in being able to move forward to lead a fulfilled and contented life.
Having someone to listen and validate your feelings can be extremely powerful.
I myself have been through the process of counselling and fully understand the positive impact it can have. Something that may seem overwhelming at first can be safely broken down and processed.
Learning to express our feelings can be life changing.
