It takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help so finding the right therapist is essential.
I offer a free initial consultation. This is a good way for me to understand why you are seeking therapy and you can establish if you feel I am someone you could work with.
I am an Accredited Emotional Therapeutic Counsellor with over 25 years’ experience in Healthcare, 10 years working as a registered general nurse. I am a compassionate individual with a genuine interest in people.
I offer an honest and caring approach with a professional, confidential service within a safe, non-judgemental environment.
What does counselling involve:
Sometimes life just gets too much and we may feel like there is no way forward. We maybe unable to identify why at this point.
As your counsellor my role is to support you to explore your emotions and try to make sense of them. Having someone to listen and validate your feelings can be extremely powerful.
Sessions are focused around your needs using a variety of therapeutic techniques. We work at your pace, safely exploring the issues you bring to your session in confidence and without fear of judgement.
Counselling can support in restoring your sense of wellbeing. This is key in being able to move forward to lead a fulfilled and contented life.
I myself have been through the process of counselling and fully understand how scary it can be initially. Things that may seem overwhelming at first can be safely broken down and processed.
Learning to express our feelings can be life changing.
