Clients can book a free 15-minute consultation, browse our online therapist directory, or use our quick therapist matching tool to find suitable support. Sessions are held online, giving you flexible access to therapy from the comfort of your own home.
Training, qualifications & experience
At Lavender Therapy, all therapists are carefully selected for both their professional training and their ability to work with warmth, integrity, and sensitivity.
Our practitioners are qualified, insured, and experienced, with training that typically includes recognised diplomas or degrees in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, hypnotherapy, CBT, or related therapeutic disciplines. Many of our therapists hold advanced or specialist training and continue to develop their skills through ongoing professional development.
Therapists working with Lavender Therapy are:
Professionally trained to UK-recognised standards
Members of, or aligned with, relevant professional bodies (such as BACP, UKCP, NCS, BABCP, HCPC, or equivalent)
Fully insured for clinical practice
Committed to ethical practice, confidentiality, and client safety
Experienced in working with a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relational concerns
Our team brings experience from diverse settings, including private practice, NHS services, charities, community organisations, and specialist clinics. This breadth of experience allows us to support individuals, couples, and families with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, self-esteem, and life transitions.
Beyond formal qualifications, we place strong emphasis on a therapist’s personal maturity, reflective capacity, and ability to create a safe, non-judgemental space. We believe effective therapy is not only about technique, but about presence, attunement, and genuine human connection.
All therapists engage in regular supervision, adhere to their professional code of ethics, and maintain ongoing learning to ensure their work remains thoughtful, current, and client-centred.

Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
