About me
Hello. I'm glad you have found this page. I am an counsellor and psychotherapist offering a safe, empathetic space where you can explore life’s challenges and work towards meaningful change.
Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed or lost, speaking with a supportive therapist can help unravel unhelpful patterns and negative beliefs which are holding you back. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, lack of confidence, relationship issues and the impact of significant life transitions, helping them build self-awareness, confidence, and resilience. I work with both individual clients and couples.
Life can present us with unexpected and often overwhelming challenges. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger management or navigating a significant life transition such as divorce, redundancy, parenthood, menopause, relocation, or grief, I offer a supportive and confidential space where you can begin to make sense of your experiences. I also work with clients who are processing past trauma or looking to improve self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
As an integrative practitioner, I tailor therapy to your individual needs. My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy and incorporates elements of CBT, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, and positive psychology. I take an active, collaborative approach, helping you develop practical tools and strategies to manage difficulties and create lasting change.
Building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and respect is at the heart of my work. I will listen without judgement and support you at your own pace, ensuring you feel heard and understood throughout your journey.
In addition to counselling and psychotherapy, I offer career coaching. With my previous experience as a lawyer and corporate headhunter, I understand the pressures of high-performance environments. I can support you with workplace challenges, career direction, confidence, productivity, and professional growth, integrating this work into therapy where appropriate.
I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure I provide a high standard of care.
You do not have to face your challenges alone. I am here to support you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Master’s degree (M.Couns) in Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their Ethical Framework.
My training is integrative in nature, allowing me to draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to best support each individual client. These include person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused approaches, mindfulness, and positive psychology.
I undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure my practice remains current, ethical, and responsive to the evolving needs of my clients.
Alongside my therapeutic training, I bring a unique professional background as a former lawyer and corporate headhunter. This experience gives me a strong understanding of the pressures associated with high-performance and corporate environments, including stress, burnout, career transitions, and workplace dynamics.
I have worked with a range of clients presenting with:
- Anxiety including social and health anxiety
- Anger Management
- Depression
- Life transitions (such as divorce, redundancy, relocation, parenthood, menopause and grief)
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Workplace stress and career-related challenges
- The impact of past trauma
- Phobias
- Couples and individuals undergoing relationship issues.
My approach combines professional expertise with empathy and a collaborative, practical focus, supporting clients to build self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change.
We go at your pace.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
