About me
When a child or young person is struggling, it can be incredibly difficult for the whole family. As a parent you may find you're feeling worried, unsure of what to do, or better understand what your child is going through. For the young person themselves, finding the words to explain how they feel or reaching out for help can feel just as difficult.
I offer a warm, calm and empathetic approach where young people can feel heard, understood and accepted. Together we can gently explore what they are experiencing, at a pace that feels comfortable for them, and begin to find ways of making things feel more manageable.
I am an integrative psychotherapist currently working with young people aged 11-18 and Registered Member of the BACP. I tailor my approach to each individual, building a trusting relationship, where they can feel safe to be themselves, without judgement.
If you feel your child or young person may benefit from support, please look through the rest of my profile to find out more about me and how I work. I hope this will help to decide if I am the right person to support your child.
If you have any question please do get in touch. I offer a few 15 minute chat. You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out - sometimes taking that first step and having a conversation can make things feel a little easier.

Experience
I currently work as a school psychotherapist, providing 1:1 therapeutic support to students aged 11-18, addressing a wide range of difficulties including low mood, anxiety, bereavement and loss, self-harm, behavioural difficulties and family and relationship issues.
My Approach
I work integratively, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT approaches, and adapt my way of working to suit each young person I see. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of good counselling, and I offer a safe, confidential space in which young people can explore what's troubling them, build self-awareness, and find their own way through difficult feelings. Alongside talking therapy, I also draw on creative approaches - including art, vision boards, and expression cards - particularly helpful for young people who find it easier to communicate without relying on words alone.
I am committed to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity and ongoing professional development.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
