About me

Welcome! First I want to say that you are not wrong for struggling, suffering or seeking support. Therapy can help you to resolve, manage, or come to terms with life's difficulties, restore healthy functioning, and support your whole being.

Here you'll find kind and professional guidance to help you to cope with personal challenges, wellbeing or mental health issues. I also offer a supportive space for self-enquiry and exploring your potential.

My approach enables you to feel soothed, supported and strengthened as you develop the skills that will serve you in times of need and help you to thrive, including:

  • Finding solid ground within or outside yourself when things feel unsteady.
  • Bringing space and attention to what you're experiencing, learning safe and effective ways to approach the thoughts, feelings, behaviours or events that are difficult or taking over.
  • Expanding current awareness so that new insight and options are revealed.
  • Allowing movement - when ready - leading to action, change or flow in areas that may be stuck.
  • Enriching connections, including the way you relate to yourself, others, and the things that matter most to you.
  • Growing confidence in being who you are - unlearning what you are not - so you can live with greater freedom in each moment.

Fully qualified, experienced and accredited, I am an integrative therapist working with adults. My speciality is in modern ‘third wave’ psychotherapies, which offer effective tools and practices for inner and outer responding to life's challenges and opportunities.

I personally know the immense value of this work, and I offer it with care and respect, appreciating the courage it might take and the gifts it can give.

I love seeing the transformations - simple or profound - that can happen within people in this space. As the layers of disconnection and discomfort that build up in life are able to be met and processed, and a person feels supported right where they are, a greater sense of wholeness and ease can naturally shine through.

Please do get in touch if you are interested and would like to arrange a free initial discussion about what you are looking for in therapy.

UPDATE JAN 2025 - I am away at the end of January but will be able to respond in early February to any enquiries.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Advanced Diploma in Counselling
  • Advanced Specialist Diploma in Psychotherapy

6 years experience as a counsellor at a charitable organisation before moving into private practice.

I currently also work at the University of Exeter supporting students to manage their mental health.

Before training in counselling, I worked in social research examining what affects and supports healthy child development. Several years later I moved into social prescribing which involved working 1:1 with people of all ages to connect them to positive activities, groups and support services in the community to enhance their wellbeing. Prior to these roles I completed degrees in Psychology (BSc & MSc).
