Training, qualifications & experience

Laura offers bespoke psychological interventions, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies depending on the person’s needs. This includes:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

Laura also draws on and incorporates systemic and relational ways of working, recognising the influence attachment, culture, relationships and societal factors can have on individual difficulties.

When considering therapy for children and adolescence, therapy is tailored not only to individual mental health needs but also to children’s developmental and communication needs. This may involve personalised and tailored therapy resources to support their understanding of their own difficulties.
