About me

I’m an integrative counsellor with a person-centred foundation, working with adults, offering face-to-face counselling in Lincoln and Welton. I also offer online sessions across the UK, walk-and-talk therapy across Lincolnshire, and Equine Assisted Therapy in Caistor.

Equine Assisted Therapy is a unique and experiential approach to supporting emotional wellbeing. No horse experience is needed, and all sessions take place on the ground, working alongside the horses in a safe and supportive environment.

Whether we're in the therapy room, walking, online or working alongside the horses, I'll ask questions, offer reflections, and help you make sense of your experiences. Together, we'll begin to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, and help you reconnect with the person you are beneath the roles and responsibilities you've been carrying.

My aim is to offer a genuine, down-to-earth space centred around you, where you can explore whatever feels important at a pace that feels comfortable.

Training, qualifications & experience

Alongside my counselling training, I bring over 12 years' experience working across mental health and addiction services. My career has included supporting people affected by addiction in community services, leading alcohol services, and working on mental health inpatient wards with individuals experiencing a wide range of complex mental health needs.

I'm especially passionate about supporting carers. Through both my professional experience and my own caring journey, I understand how easy it is to lose yourself in looking after someone else. I believe therapy should be a space where you can put down some of what you're carrying and reconnect with yourself.

My qualifications include a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Health Psychology, Advanced Diplomas in Counselling and Creative Therapy, and training in Equine Assisted Therapy.

I am committed to continuing my professional development to ensure my practice remains informed, ethical and evidence based, allowing me to offer the best possible support to the people I work with.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
