About me
Find peace of mind, create meaningful change, and move toward a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're already struggling. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, or exhausted from trying to cope on your own. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, bipolar disorder, psychosis, or other complex mental health challenges, finding a therapist you can trust is an important place to begin.
I'm Laura, a compassionate and experienced CBT therapist, and I offer a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where we can work together toward the changes that matter most to you.
With over 10 years of experience in mental health care, I have worked across a range of settings including acute inpatient wards, community mental health teams, and IAPT services. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent clients, and I tailor therapy to each person's individual needs, strengths, and way of understanding the world.
My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and DBT-informed skills. I work in a person-centred way, which means therapy is shaped around you - your goals, your experiences, and what feels most helpful for your life.
Together, we can make sense of the difficulties you're facing, explore the experiences that may have shaped them, and develop practical tools to help you move forward. Whether you want support with managing anxiety, recovering from trauma, or understanding more complex mental health experiences, we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
What you can expect from therapy with me:
A warm, non-judgmental, and confidential space
A tailored and collaborative approach
Evidence-based tools to manage difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviours
A focus on your strengths, values, and goals
Support to help you make realistic, lasting change
At the heart of my practice are empathy, trust, and collaboration. I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported, while also helping you build the insight and strategies needed to create meaningful change.
If you're thinking about starting therapy, I welcome you to get in touch. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you do not have to do it alone.
