About me

I have experience of working with a wide range of difficulties, and I offer a bespoke, individually tailored treatment plan. I have experience working with depression and low mood, relationship difficulties, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, OCD, eating related difficulties, chronic pain, long-term health conditions, and low self-esteem. Some individuals also seek support for emotional difficulties arising from past/traumatic experiences, life transitions, being a victim of crime or abuse, difficulties at work, difficulties arising from health problems or being involved in an accident or crime.

As a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the NHS, I have varied experience working in mental health settings, and have regular supervision which enables me to reflect on and develop my work. I provide both brief and longer term psychological therapy, and work with whatever difficulty you bring and would like support with. I am experienced in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and compassionate mind therapy. I also draw upon psychodynamic and systemic models in my work.

I am based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and thanks to online working, I can offer therapy to people further afield. As well as offering online therapy and therapy indoors in a private room, I also work therapeutically with people outdoors, doing ‘walk and talk therapy’, as I feel that being in nature can provide great opportunities for healing and psychological work. I am open to working therapeutically both within the therapy room, or outdoors. Both would involve an initial assessment indoors, to agree a treatment plan together.

I enjoy working with people and offer an integrative approach to psychological therapy, which is person-centred and individualised. The decision to reach out for support can feel difficult, and I believe remarkable change can happen when the relationship with the therapist feels safe and trusting. My aim is to allow you to feel that you can use the time we spend working together to achieve your goals, and I will share my psychological skills and knowledge to support your journey to get where you want to be. I understand through experience the deep value of having a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space, to develop a shared understanding and facilitate change.

Please email me in the first instance with any questions and if you would like to arrange a free 15 minute telephone consultation to discuss your needs.
