About me
I adopt a multi-model integrated approach to therapy and draw upon evidence-based techniques that include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Solution-Focused Therapy. Each client is considered individually and counselling tools are suggested that best resonate with them. I work collaboratively with clients tailoring interventions to suit each individual's unique and specific needs. All sessions are conducted in a professional and collaborative manner at the client’s own pace, suitable for their particular situation.
Previously, I worked in Hong Kong, Africa and the UK as a marketing professional within the corporate and small business sectors after which I decided to pursue a more fulfilling career as a counsellor. I am passionate about the positive impact therapy can have on the quality of life and am committed to helping clients overcome challenges in a supportive, safe and non-judgmental manner. My multicultural background and life experiences enhance my approach to therapy, empowering clients to gain new perspectives and a deeper understanding of their experiences. I have helped individuals from all walks of life and cultures address and manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, work-life balance and relationship issues. I have worked with clients facing life transitions as well as those who have wanted to deepen their self-awareness and have helped individuals understand the impact of adverse childhood experiences. My area of special interest is relationship and couples counselling and am undergoing training for The Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

I have previously been a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Hong Kong Society of Counselling & Psychology (HKSCP) and Psychotherapy Society of Hong Kong (PSHK). In addition, I hold a level 1 certificate in Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
