About me
I am an experienced fully qualified BACP Accredited Counsellor, Supervisor and COSRT registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist providing both short and longer term therapy to couples and individuals over 18.
I work with couples and individuals facing difficulty in their relationships and am experienced in working with psychosexual issues.
Whether the challenges you face are related to communication, intimacy, sex, trust issues, affairs or dysfunctions, I can help you. I work with clients on their relationships, helping them to reconnect.
Having sexual difficulties can feel very isolating. You may feel embarrassed and awkward about speaking of them. It takes courage and commitment to recognise you might need help to resolve a problem as a couple or an individual.
Throughout life we experience painful events and pressures, somehow we manage to carry on with our lives. However, there can be times when we feel completely overwhelmed. Talking to an experienced therapist about the issues that are affecting you and your relationship, can help in finding a path through those troubled times, to find fulfilment and healing for yourself and your relationship.
I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential service. I am committed to working with you in a way that is tailored to your individual therapeutic needs. As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a selection of counselling models to support my work with you.
Currently I run my private practice from my home in Alderbury in a quiet, peaceful location having worked in a city centre agency for several years.
I am an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, abiding by their ethical framework. I am also a Registered Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists. In line with this I have regular supervision and am committed to my own professional development. I hold professional indemnity insurance.
The number of sessions required would depend on what it is you would like to explore and this would be discussed during the initial assessment session.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.
All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
