About me

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the future? Life can be challenging, and you don't have to navigate it alone. It's completely normal to feel that way sometimes.

I'm Kyle and I'm an integrative counsellor and therapist. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can explore what's on your mind without judgment. Together, we'll work at your pace to help you find clarity, build strength, and discover a path forward that feels right for you.

I have over 22 years of experience working with children and adults who have been in crisis, who have experienced trauma and who have experienced low mood or anxiety. I am currently working with individuals experiencing bereavement or loss, relationship breakups, family issues, violence and abuse, and issues in the workplace. I blend different therapeutic approaches, including person-centred therapy, CBT, Time Line Therapy and coaching techniques.

I also offer specialist Therapeutic Safeguarding Supervision to support Education Staff, Youth Workers, Police Officers, Probation Officers and others working with vulnerable or challenging children and adults. Safeguarding work is demanding and often brings unique emotional challenges and trauma. Together, we create a confidential, reflective space to process secondary trauma, moral injury, and compassion fatigue. My aim is to support your wellbeing, strengthen resilience, and help you sustain your vital work without burning out.

Client Testimonial 1: "I found it useful to explore why my mind wanders to worst-case scenarios immediately and exploring how I can overcome that instinct, and why that instinct exists within myself".

Client Testimonial 2: "I appreciated being given the opportunity and was surprised at how useful it was. I've never had therapy before and didn't feel I needed it. It has been extremely useful, allowing me to express my thoughts and feelings".

Client Testimonial 3: "What I valued the most how my therapist was sensitive to things I had found challenging about the therapeutic process. I felt very respected and listened to by them. I felt comfortable enough to discuss topics very challenging to me, and topics I had not discussed with anyone before. My therapist was able to incorporate what had previously worked for me during the sessions".

Client Testimonial 4: "I found being able to talk to someone who doesn't know me and my family or colleagues good. Being able to say the things I normally say to myself out loud to someone else. I felt listened to and I enjoyed having that time to myself, for it to be about me for a change and that my thoughts and feelings were justified".

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
