About me
Hi! My name is Kristin and I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor offering a warm and supportive environment where you can be free to explore difficult thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgment.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck or wanting to find joy again? Do you need someone to talk to? Whether you are experiencing low mood, anxious feelings or simply want to understand yourself better, I am here to provide a safe space for you to express yourself.
It can be daunting to reach out to a stranger about your personal situation, but counselling can help you gain a fresh perspective on something that you have been struggling with. I am therefore happy to offer a non-obligating initial telephone conversation where we discuss what you hope to gain from counselling and whether I am the right counsellor for you.
How I work
I embrace individuality, diversity and inclusivity and welcome clients from all walks of life across cultures, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations and abilities.
As an integrative and relational counsellor, I tailor my approach to support your goals in therapy. We will typically look at what may be causing you distress today, but I may sometimes invite you to talk about your past to help you identify patterns and bring unconscious beliefs to light. We can look at how your life experiences have impacted you today and help you to take charge of harmful patterns and behaviours whilst focusing on bringing positive feelings to the forefront and making choices that benefit you and your goals.
For me, the therapeutic relationship is essential for a positive counselling experience. It is when we feel truly seen and heard without judgment that we can explore our inner world and bring about lasting change. Together, we can identify the factors in your life that may be causing you distress whilst nurturing your inner strengths and resources.
This is your journey, and I will walk with you whilst providing support, encouragement, an empathetic ear and gentle guidance.
Booking an appointment
If you would like to make an appointment, you can contact me via email or phone where we will discuss what you are hoping to gain from counselling and see if we are a good match. We can then book a suitable appointment to start the therapeutic work.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
