About me

I work with both individuals and couples, bringing warmth, empathy, challenge and a wealth of therapeutic and life experience to my work. I offer a safe and confidential environment for clients to explore their anxieties, issues and struggles.

I support clients to look at historical and behavioural patterns. And to work toward understanding and gaining awareness of what is causing anxiety or keeping a person stuck or unfulfilled. We will discuss how to make changes that help support better awareness of what works in the present and gain a better sense of self-worth. To be less anxious and to be able to handle old habits which stand in the way of reaching full potential. I will work with the client to be curious about behaviour patterns and to learn how to be the one in charge of their life in a way that works for them.

I work with people from all religious backgrounds, sexual orientation, cultures and class systems. I support people to look at cultural and gender differences and issues both in personal and professional relationships in order to gain clarity and understanding.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
