About me

Hi, whatever has brought you to this point and why you’re considering therapy will be unique to you. Our struggles are no more or less than the person who stands next to us they are just different, but how we manage those struggles is ultimately defining. Do you have goals, aspirations, are you anxious, stressed or depressed or perhaps feeling isolated alone and find yourself retreating from life? Talking things through can be the first small steps to long term changes. My work will always be centred around you and the space will be safe, empathic and non-judgemental.

As a therapist I am always guided by the client and their needs. I really understand that the first steps to engage in personal growth of any kind can be daunting. I invite you to make contact with me, we can arrange an initial meeting and you can see if what I offer feels right for you with no pressure or expectation.

I began my studies in 2011 after an 18 month bout of depression and anxiety and wanted to understand what had got me to that point. I gained my honors degree in 2016 and have had the honour of working with clients since 2014, from ages 15 years. My experience both personal and with others is that having that person to talk to and someone who really listens. I have had the privilege to walk side by side with many diverse individuals and to have had the honour of supporting them in their personal process.

I have also studied focusing, CBT, mindfulness, group facilitation and creative thinking.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

I work with:

  • Adults
  • Older people who thought they were too old to change
  • Relationships
  • People who want to realise a fulfilling life

Please feel free to text/call (07305037234) or email me. Sessions are held in Norwich and take place in a private and relaxed environment.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BA (Hons) Person-Centred Counselling at the University of Suffolk.
  • Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
