About me
My passion for counselling is deeply rooted in my own life experiences and my genuine desire to support people as they navigate life’s ups and downs and have experience working with a number of different life experiences and challenges. I truly believe that counselling has the power to change lives, offering space for growth, healing, self-discovery and self-compassion.
When you come to me for support, I listen with empathy, sensitivity, and without judgment. I am committed to understanding you, your unique story and challenges and I warmly welcome you as you are.
I take an integrative approach to counselling, blending person-centred, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques. This allows me to tailor our work together, nurturing your strengths, helping you gain insight, and empowering you to make positive, lasting changes. My aim is to walk alongside you in your journey, offering compassionate support every step of the way.
Training, qualifications & experience
Having spent many years working with young people who have experienced trauma, I bring a deep awareness of how those early challenges can echo into adulthood showing up as low self esteem, anxiety, depression and low mood amongst other things.
I have had the privilege of supporting people to navigate a broad range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, domestic and emotional abuse, trauma, chronic illness, ADHD, relationship or family issues and the exploration and processing of a number of adverse life experiences.
I am currently enjoying supporting clients at West Kent Mind.
As a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am dedicated to upholding the highest professional standards whilst offering a safe, comfortable and confidential space to talk, reflect, and grow at your pace.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
