About me

Hi, I’m Kirstie, a qualified counsellor and founder of Serendipity Wellness, offering counselling online across the UK and in-person in Manchester.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, we can lose touch with who we are, question our worth, or find ourselves repeating old patterns that no longer serve us. In those moments, it helps to have a safe, supportive space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s really happening. That’s where counselling can make a difference.

My approach is person-centred, which means you lead the way. I won’t give advice or quick fixes, but I will offer a compassionate space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s been holding you back and help you reconnect with your own voice, confidence, and sense of self.

I work with people facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, grief, and life transitions. You don’t have to face it alone; we’ll take things one step at a time, in a way that feels safe and manageable for you.

Counselling isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about rediscovering the parts of you that have been quietened or overlooked and learning to live more fully as yourself.

If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honoured to help you reclaim what has always been yours: you.

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, if you do not receive a response, please check your spam emails.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
