About me
I have practised as a psychological therapist for over 20 years and work integratively, using my skills and experience gained over time to work holistically. I am a creative therapist, originally trained as an artist. I have a private practice and also work in NHS with adults, with a special interest in trauma, relational difficulties, mood disorders and neurodiversity.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist, with experience in working with adults, children and young people. I have additional training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and also in Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT). I have worked in NHS secondary care mental health services for 19 years, as well as on a consultancy basis within private healthcare settings. I am experienced in offering clinical supervision for both qualified and training therapists, and am listed on the British Association of Art Therapists as an approved private practitioner and supervisor.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Prices range depending on length of session required and modality of therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes to 75 minutes. Fees and length of session are agreed in advance.
Assessments are 50 minutes and a flat fee of £90
