About me
Hi, my name is Kerri, I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
You may have found my page and be feeling many different emotions, this is normal. You might be feeling lost, hopeless or at a crossroads in your life and not sure where to turn. You may feel overwhelmed with day-to-day life, anxious or depressed and would like someone to truly hear and understand you.
If that’s the case, you’ve come to the right place.
Counselling can help us all at times in our life. Although finding the ‘right’ counsellor can feel daunting, and you may not know what to expect or if it is for you.
What you can expect from me is being welcomed into a space where you feel safe and seen. I believe that the relationship between us is an essential part of counselling, and I will meet you with warmth, understanding and without judgement.
The space we create together is one of trust where you can be yourself, a place where you can share all that you would like to, and develop insight and awareness into yourself.
I am led by you and will go at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
Training, qualifications & experience
I gained my Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling (BACP Accredited course) from the Iron Mill College in Exeter
I am an experienced gambling counsellor having worked for different addiction organisations nationwide. It was during this time, and my own personal lived experience of gambling, that I understood how our past experiences shape who we are today, and how we think, feel and act. Understanding addiction ignited my passion to help people live fulfilled lives and move on from what may be holding you back, or what is replayed over in your mind, keeping you stuck.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
