About me

Hello, my name is Kayleigh and I'm an Integrative Counsellor at In Bloom Counselling and a registered member of the BACP.

Wherever it is you find yourself right now is where I will meet you. I am here to listen and support you through your healing journey. As an experienced counselling practitioner I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to discuss and explore any issues that may have become problematic in your life. With training in CBT, Person-Centred, Pluralistic and Psychodynamic approaches, I have extensive experience helping clients navigate challenges such as (but not limited to) addiction, bereavement, anxiety, trauma, and depression.

My Counselling practice is grounded in Person-Centred principles which focuses on the inherent worth and value of every individual. I understand each person has their own experiences that shape their unique understanding of the world. My role is to provide you with support, empathy, and understanding so you are free to explore your thoughts and feelings without fear or judgement.

Maybe you feel as though you have lost a part of yourself, or you find that you're stuck in a negative pattern/cycle. Whatever the reason is we can work collaboratively to aid discovery of your own solutions to achieve personal growth, healing, and authenticity in all aspects of your life.

I also offer sessions for those bereaved by the loss of their pet. Our bond with animals can be just as deep and meaningful as our relationships with others. Losing a pet is profoundly painful, and the grief that follows is a testament to that connection. As a pet owner myself, I understand the immense impact pets have on both mental and physical well-being, as well as the abundance of unconditional love they bring into our lives. . This can make it very difficult to adapt to life without them. Some people may experience a loss of identity from being the 'care giver' to a pet.

With additional courses undertaken in 'pet bereavement' I will be able to offer a supportive and understanding space.

I believe the relationship between therapist and client is crucial in the effectiveness of your therapy so providing you with a space where you feel safe is important. Feel free to get in touch for a free 15 minute consultation so you can experience myself and how we can work together.

Mondays and Tuesdays I offer early morning appointments from 7am.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
