About me
I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation to all potential clients; giving you the opportunity to see if I am who you would like to work with.
My aim is to focus on you, to understand your world from your perspective, and then together we can explore any areas of difficulty you may be experiencing; working together to help you identify and connect with your inner thoughts, feelings and perspectives which may be having an impact on your life.
Taking the first step towards making a change doesn't always feel comfortable, it's human nature to feel unsettled about any deviation from our 'norm'.
If there is something you would like to change to help live a more fulfilling life, I will be committed to helping you achieve those changes in a safe, supportive, and professional environment.
My Approach
I work with an integrative approach which means I use different psychotherapeutic models seamlessly to meet the individual needs of each of my clients, whilst also offering a therapeutic relationship to empower and support your desired change.
I offer a non-judgmental and safe space, working collaboratively through situations that may have been affecting your life for years, exploring past experiences which can be helpful to understand ourselves in the present, and learn more helpful ways of coping for the future; I also offer shorter term therapy offering support with specific issues that may be affecting your ability to cope in the way you would like.
We can work together to explore and reflect on your experiences, to facilitate growth and new self-awareness.
My sessions can also be very useful in the pursuit of personal development, working towards goals, finding clarity and focus, reaching a desired potential and living a more fulfilling life.
I continue my interests for my own benefit, and to support my work. These include neuroscience, and the mind-body connection; I have seen how breathwork, meditation, and visualisation techniques, can be used to support changes in feelings, thoughts and behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment.

In addition to working with clients in my private practice, my clinical experience includes working with a local organisation offering professional services to the community and surrounding areas.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
