I  offer you highly professional counselling, I come with  many years experience and  whether you are a young person, an adult. or a couple  who are in need and want things to be different , I can help . I offer WhatsApp video calls , telephone appointments  and  also face to face appointments in my confortabile private  studio that is Covid regulations compliant .

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Master Degree in Psychology from the University of Dundee and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I regularly attend professional development workshops to keep my skills and knowledge updated.I am a member of the British Psychological Society and the National Foundation for Educational Research in England and Wales. I receive monthly clinical supervision and adhere to the B.A.C.P's Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.the areas I have covered include;

Addiction, Anxiety, Abuse, Anger, Bipolar Disorder [Manic Depression], Bullying, Bereavement and Loss, Couples Counselling, Depression, Divorce and Separation, Eating Disorders, Low Self Esteem and Self Confidence,Mental Generalised Anxiety Disorder Health Issues, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder [O.C.D], Panic Attacks , Post Natal Depression,Relationship Issues, Sexuality,Seasonal  Affective Disorder , Stress, Trauma, Weight Issues an Work Place Issues. I set up my private counselling practice in 2007 and I am passionate about provide my clients the very best customer care . My services have been called on by British Airways, John Lewis PLC and Private Care Homes within the Northampton area. I also work with young people, individuals, couples, families and groups and run workshops on topics such as Anger Management, Effective Communication Skills and Self Esteem Building.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My Counselling Practice is very easy to find, it is conveniently located just off the A6 in Rushden and a mile from the A45.

Therefore I am very accessible if travelling from Higham, Kettering, Raunds, Northampton, Wellingborough, Bedford or any of the outlying villages. On and off road parking is available

Additional information

My fees are as follows,

£45 for individual counselling
£40 for students, 

£50 for appointments on Saturdays 
£60 for couples

You may pay by cash or cheque or by internet banking and sessions can be twice weekly, weekly or fortnightly.

Clients do not have to block book several sessions in advance and can pay as they go.  If you would like to block book six sessions and pay in advance , the seventh session comes free. 

I can normally offer an individual appointment within one week to ten days  of your enquiry.

I am a Person Centred Counsellor and research has pointed to this type of counselling being the most effective.This counselling views the client as having the ability to overcome their own problems and difficulties if given the right conditions.The success of this approach has been so strong that since it was first developed over fifty years ago, it is still by far the most popular form of counselling.this therapy has helped many people overcome issues they may be facing, come to term with difficult events and achieve a greater quality of life.
I am also qualified to conduct Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.

What To Expect
My counselling studio offers a private, safe and comfortable environment. When we meet our sessions will be confidential and you will be treated with respect and empathy by a counsellor who is highly qualified, who wont judge you and will be accepting and genuine. My role does not involve telling you what to do or giving advice, I will support and work with you so you can look at the options open to you and this will help you find your own unique solutions to your issues.
