About me
Hello, I’m Katie Moger, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP), offering online therapy for adults across the UK.
I have a particular interest in working with OCD, as well as anxiety, low mood, and related difficulties.
OCD can feel exhausting and confusing - intrusive thoughts that don’t reflect who you are, alongside a strong urge to do something to feel certain, safe, or “just right.” This might look like checking, rumination, seeking reassurance, or mental rituals that are hard to switch off. Even when you can see the pattern, it can feel incredibly difficult to step out of it.
Therapy offers a space to begin understanding how these cycles are maintained, and how to gradually break them.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), incorporating evidence-based strategies used in OCD work, alongside Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This means we focus not only on practical change, but also on building a different relationship with your thoughts - so they have less impact on your day-to-day life.
I aim to work in a way that is collaborative, structured, and compassionate. OCD work can feel challenging at times, but you won’t be pushed into anything without understanding why - we’ll go at a pace that feels manageable, while still moving you forward.
Therapy offers a space to slow things down and begin to understand what’s keeping things stuck, without judgement.
I often work with people who are used to holding things together on the outside, while feeling overwhelmed underneath. Together, we can make sense of what you’re experiencing and find a way forward that feels manageable.
If you’d like to see whether this feels like the right fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP).
I have over three years’ experience as a qualified CBT therapist previously working within an NHS Talking Therapies service, where I supported adults with a range of mental health difficulties.
Before training as a therapist, I worked as a Social Worker in community mental health teams, and later within a specialist NHS service for veterans.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
