Supervision details
I offer High Intensity CBT supervision to qualified CBT therapists, newly qualified therapists and trainees who are looking to develop their clinical skills, confidence and professional practice.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, supportive and reflective, whilst also providing the structure and challenge needed to support safe and effective clinical work. I aim to create a space where supervisees can openly explore clinical uncertainty, consider different perspectives and develop their own confidence in making clinical decisions.
Supervision can include support with assessment and formulation, treatment planning and delivery, risk and clinical decision-making, working with more complex or challenging presentations, and reflecting on therapeutic processes and endings. For trainees and newly qualified therapists, I can also provide support in consolidating learning and making the transition into independent clinical practice.
I see supervision as more than simply reviewing cases. It is an opportunity to develop your clinical thinking, strengthen your therapeutic skills and build confidence in your own professional judgement.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
