About me
I am a chartered clinical psychologist who has worked in the NHS, education, and not-for-profit sectors for the last fifteen years. I am experienced in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression and low mood, and those who are making sense of themselves, life changes, stresses, and losses.
I am interested in what living well means to you, and how I may be able to support you in that.
I consider myself an holistic and integrative psychologist. This means the understanding that our body, mind and emotions all work together as a unique whole system. I draw on a range of approaches whilst recognising the fundamental importance of the relationship between therapist and client. Approaches used include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based approaches and EMDR.
I work collaboratively to create a joint understanding of 'why this difficulty, at this time, in this particular person's life', (called a formulation) which helps create an individualised way forward for our work together.
My therapy room in Ham Green House, Pill, which offers easy access either from the M5 or from Bristol. It is conveniently located for the nearby towns of Portishead, Clevedon and the surrounding area of North Somerset.
You are welcome to contact me to book a free 15 minute introductory Zoom call.
