About me

Beginning therapy can be a daunting prospect. Maybe you've tried it before but feel there's more to explore or are coming to it as a reluctant last resort because something painful has happened.  Perhaps you are feeling lost, stuck or troubled and want to understand yourself better. To take the next step, get in touch to arrange an initial consultation where we can explore what is bringing you to therapy and whether working together is the right fit for you.

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, working in private practice in Walthamstow, Archway, and online. I also work at a specialist service working with intergenerational trauma, including adults who experienced childhood trauma and survivors of institutional abuse.

I don't pathologise sexual or gender preferences, orientations, and expressions. Nor do I work from normative or reductive views. Instead, I work towards a thoughtful understanding of the person. I also pay attention to the real impact on people of systemic inequalities, including race, class, disability, and gender.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained for over 8 years, including two foundations and an advanced and rigorous full clinical training. All my work is fully supervised and insured, and I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), whose ethical framework guides my practice.

Prior to this, I had a 25-year career in digital transformation and innovation as a senior leader in complex organisations. I now offer consultancy, mentoring, and leadership development to leaders and organisations in this area, alongside but separately to my psychotherapy practice.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
