About me

Hi, I'm Kat, I'm an approachable and accredited Integrative Counsellor with extensive experience in the areas of anxiety, depression, work related stress, stress, health issues, cancer and recovery, abuse, suicidal ideation/ surviving suicide, self-esteem and weight loss but I work with all mental health issues including physical health, trauma, relationship issues and chronic pain.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognising that physical and mental health is built upon many elements. Work, relationships, our home life, diet and health all influence our wellbeing, which is why I treat every client as unique.

Whether you're looking for: a relief from stress, anxiety, depression, pain, fatigue or you wish to address weight issues, learn coping strategies, or form an understanding to your past or to your relationships or simply wanting to talk in confidence, I'm here for you.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of disciplines, including Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), Person-centred, Psychodynamic, mindfulness and compassion-focused approach.

If you feel that engaging in longer term counselling is not for you right now but would still like to address some issues that are perhaps keeping you stuck, I also offer Single Session Therapy. In Single Session Therapy we would just focus on the most pressing issue right now to help you to make the desired change.

I’m passionate about my work and helping people. You will have my undivided attention where you can discuss your issues in absolute confidence, without prejudice or judgment. Together, we will work toward achieving a positive outcome.

I understand reaching for help and finding the right counsellor for you can be overwhelming. This is why I offer a 20 minutes free telephone chat so we can see if working together is something that feels right for you.

You can contact me directly by telephone or email and for more information, you are welcome to take a look at my website. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am currently offering sessions online, via Teams or telephone counselling only.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
