About me

Feeling alone and isolated in your thoughts and feelings? I offer compassionate counselling that is tailored to your needs, supporting you through your unique life journey with understanding and care. Life experiences and changes, whether choiceful or enforced upon us, can profoundly impact us when left unprocessed. I take a creative approach, encouraging clients to explore their past and present-day experiences and relationships with curiosity, not judgement. I will support you as your journey towards empowerment and meaningful change.

With me, clients explore their unique experiences of common mental health issues and life experiences, such as depression, anxiety, grief, (peri-)menopause, childlessness by circumstance, not choice, career change, stress and relationship issues, whether romantic, familial or friendships, together with the underlying trauma that may be held in the body

I know from personal experiences that getting to your first counselling session is not easy. It takes courage to be vulnerable with those we know, let alone a stranger. I am here for you as you take that first tentative step, whether we just take this one step together or embark on a longer therapeutic journey together

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Counselling Level 5 from the Gestalt Centre.

As well as supporting clients with anxiety, depression and psychosomatic systems, I have working at a hospice supporting the bereaved.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Fees

£60.00 per session

Additional information

I offer both long-term and short-term work. My fees are £60 per session. I offer weekly therapy for new clients as through experience, I do not believe fortnightly to be as effective in it's support. If we agree to work together, I will offer you the same time slot each week.

I offer a free 15min curiosity call to give you the opportunity to ask questions about my approach to therapy and to understand pricing, terms and conditions, I also offer a 40mins paid for compatibility session, a one-off session where we discuss the reasons you are seeking therapy and for us both to assess if we are a good fit. I consider this compatibility assessment a crucial first step for us both, therefore offer a reduced rate.
