About me
Hi my name is Karen, thank you for visiting my page. Alongside experience in a wide range of issues faced by individuals, couples and families. I have a valuable and holistic approach to counselling, addressing both individuals and relationships, making it effective for understanding and addressing the complexities of family dynamics and couples issues.
I specialise in couples and family therapy and work systemically, acknowledging all life’s systems which may be impacting a relationship. I integrate other modalities into my work such as Transactional analysis, attachment theory and emotionally focused therapy.
I work with various presentations including: communication, infidelity, conflict resolution, family issues.
Clients are guaranteed a non judgemental, empathic approach in a safe environment.
I also specialise in working with clients who have suffered infant loss.
Life can take unexpected turns, and when faced with the heartbreaking reality of infant loss, the impact can be profound, leaving individuals and couples grappling with overwhelming emotions. In such challenging times, I can offer you empathy and understanding, as a
counsellor who specialises in providing support to those navigating the complex landscape of grief following the loss of a baby.
Professional Background:
With over three decades of experience in nursing and midwifery, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and personal understanding to my counselling who find themselves grappling with the aftermath of infant loss. My areas of expertise include helping individuals and couples who feel a profound sense of emptiness, as if a massive hole has been left in their lives. Many of my clients express feelings of irreparable change and a sense of isolation from friends and family. I can work with you to address ruptures in your relationships, navigating the challenges of feeling rejected by trusted friends, and coping with the loss of hope and dreams for a future family.
Support Group and Counseling Integration:
In addition to my counseling practice, I founded and lead a successful support group for infant loss. This unique combination of hands-on
experience in both nursing midwifery, health visiting and counselling, coupled with my support group leadership, enables me to offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to healing.
If you are seeking a counsellor who understands the depths of your pain and can guide you towards reclaiming your life after infant loss, I am dedicated to helping you find solace, strength, and renewed hope.
Together, we can navigate the journey of grief, discovering the
resilience to grow around the pain and build a fulfilling future.
