About me
Hi, my name is Karen, and I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
I offer a collaborative flexible approach to counselling where you the client can choose the best option for you. I offer face to face, indoor and outdoor counselling, online and telephone counselling.
I will create a safe space with you and offer support tailored to your individual needs. I will help you identify whatever challenges you are facing, and we will work together to identify and explore your thoughts, emotions and patterns of behaviour that are not serving you well and getting in the way of you living a meaningful and enjoyable life. We will work towards thriving and continual growth and lasting change which is essential for effective therapy.
I have completed many clinical hours at various organisational settings. including charities and schools working with adults, children and young people which enabled me to set up my private practice.
If you are struggling with a mental health issue or dealing with a stressful situation at home, work or in your relationship. Whatever the reason I have a wide experience of working with people struggling with anxiety and depression. I can help you find solutions to feel better about yourself and provide you with tools to help you learn and make changes for yourself so you can get your work and life back in balance. I also have experience of working with people struggling with life after loss and finding peace after bereavement.
Prior to my counselling training I founded a mental health charity called “Mental Health Together in October 2017 organising events and activities in the community, bringing people together supporting mental health and mental wellbeing. Therefore I am passionate about mental health and supporting others to feel happier and positive about their future.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
