Karen Morrison CBT Psychotherapist & Counsellor (MBABCP Accredited)

About me
Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. We all experience times when life seems overwhelming. Therapy offers you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore problems that are making your life difficult. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist & Person- Centred Counsellor with over 19 years’ experience working with adults and young people who present with a wide range of issues. I work predominantly using CBT, which is an evidenced based treatment therapy for a variety of mental health disorders, including Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Stress, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Trauma. I incorporate elements from Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness into my practice to enable clients to build emotional resilience and promote mental wellbeing.
I currently work in private practice with adults and young people. I also work with an EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) service which involves providing therapy for adults referred through work. I have a special interest in clients who have been affected by Trauma, suicidal thoughts / plans and life transitions. I am a compassionate therapist offering a calm space to help guide you through the therapy process.
