About me

Offering face to face sessions, online, telephone or walk and talk (outdoor) therapy.

Are you facing challenges that life often throws our way but finding it difficult to work through them, or feel that something isn’t quite right and feel overwhelmed all of the time? Are you looking to make changes in your life but are not sure where to start, or even how to start either in your personal or professional life?

I have specific experience with clients from the following areas:

  • those experiencing stress, anxiety or depression as a result of work pressures or a change in circumstances
  • those struggling with loss of confidence or purpose in their working lives or experiencing conflict or bullying at work
  • those struggling with the loss of a loved one
  • those struggling to cope with being a full or part-time adult carer for a loved one

What can I expect from a session with you?

It can feel a little daunting meeting someone you don’t know for the first time, that’s completely normal to feel that way, most clients do, so please don’t think you are alone in thinking this way. Its probably felt like big step to seek out someone to help and you may be feeling overwhelmed and questioning why you are doing so.   That’s ok - its normal. Let me help reassure you.

I can help provide you with a safe place to explore your situation in a supportive and confidential environment and can empathise, understand your situation. I'll help guide you to solutions, new ways of thinking, or just give you space to explore your thoughts and feelings. We will talk through what’s on your mind and its ok if you don’t know what to say or how to say it, or even where to start, that’s perfectly normal and something most of my clients say when we first meet.

We begin the first session by finding out about you, what your hopes are, what you would like to achieve in our sessions together and what has been troubling you so I can get to know you better and we can work together on a plan of action to get you back to wellness.

I will gently guide you to find your voice, helping you understand yourself better and take back more control of your life, enabling you to evaluate it objectively, helping you feel empowered and more in control in getting your things back on track.

During each session we will discuss the changes you feel and any challenges you may have experienced outside of our sessions and also celebrate the successes too.   We work at a pace that is entirely comfortable to you in a relaxed, comfortable and friendly environment.
