About me

I’m a qualified psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience in health and wellbeing, offering structured, compassionate support for individuals facing anxiety, health-related stress, and emotional challenges.

My career began in biological medicine, where I became deeply interested in how people respond emotionally to illness and diagnosis. This led me to retrain in Psychology, completing a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology. I later specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), completing advanced and integrative diplomas to support clients with a wide range of difficulties.

I also use Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), particularly when working with clients experiencing shame, self-criticism, or perfectionism. My approach is evidence-based, empathetic, and tailored to your unique needs—whether you’re managing health anxiety, navigating a diagnosis, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands.

I work primarily with high-functioning professionals and individuals who want practical, thoughtful support to move forward with clarity and confidence.

I am a BUPA recognised Healthcare Professional, so I am able to work directly with clients with BUPA insurance.

Helping you navigate anxiety, low mood, and life’s challenges with clarity and compassion

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, or relationship struggles, you're not alone—and you don’t have to face it alone. I’m a qualified and experienced Psychotherapist offering a safe, non-judgemental space to explore what’s going on and begin making sense of it.

I work with a wide range of emotional difficulties including:

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), OCD, PTSD, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Panic attacks and panic disorder
Low self-esteem and confidence
Relationship concerns and emotional overwhelm
ADHD-related challenges, including anxiety, emotional regulation, and the impact on self-worth and daily functioning
I also specialise in Health Anxiety, drawing on my background in Health Psychology. Whether you're dealing with fears around illness, medical symptoms, or uncertainty, I offer practical, evidence-based support to help you feel more in control.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I primarily use Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)—a flexible form of CBT that helps you challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and build emotional resilience. I also integrate Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which can be especially helpful if you're struggling with guilt, shame, or self-criticism.

Together, we’ll work at your pace, with empathy and structure, to help you move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
