I am a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist also specialising in CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) (and Supervisor for trainee and qualified counsellors' clinical work).
At this difficult time of lockdown due to Covid-19 I can offer online web and telephone counselling as a norm.
I understand there are times in our life when we need emotional support and help from others as life is demanding due to a crisis thrown at us, or life changes through divorce, bereavement, redundancy and much more.
When we ask for support and it is judgmental, offering little or no empathy, we can feel even more lost and unheard. We can become out of touch with ourselves and feel unable to truly explore our feelings so that we can make positive changes in our lives.
Drawing upon my professional and life experience, I aim to empower you to help resolve your issues by helping you explore your concerns in a safe and confidential counselling relationship to provide support that is suitable to your particular life circumstance.
Please call me for an initial free chat about how counselling can work for you.

For beneficial therapy outcome the number of CBT sessions taken will depend upon individual needs. However an initial 6 sessions are recommended for positive changes to take place. BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
