About me

Are you feeling stuck or alone, confused or on edge? I am a professionally qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working with individuals and couples. I offer a warm and supportive environment, in which to explore what is going on in your life. Together we will find ways to help you cope better with day-to-day issues and emotions, as well as looking at how things came to be the way they are. With a better understanding of how your mind works, and why you feel and act in certain ways, you will become more free from troubling emotions and better able to create the life that you want.

How long does counselling last?
If you want to focus on a particular goal, issue or transition, we may agree on a short-term arrangement of about twelve sessions. For a broader exploration of your situation, I would recommend working open-ended. This kind of exploration aims not only to give you relief from the symptoms that trouble you, but to offer a new sense of self-knowledge, openness and fulfilment.

Locations
I work in Central London just two minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube station, and also from my consulting room in Dollis Hill, NW2.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my professional training at WPF Therapy, one of Britain's top accredited training institutions, with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence. I hold a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from WPF as well as a BACP accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies.

I am a full member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC), which is the graduate body for therapists who qualified at WPF Therapy. I adhere to their codes of ethics and professional conduct, and fulfil their requirements for ongoing supervision and continuing professional development.

Additionally, I have completed the Tavistock / Anna Freud Centre course in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), which is the new, NHS-approved technique for short term psychodynamic therapy.
