About me
Hi, I am Justine, a person-centred, on-line or in person therapist. I offer a safe environment to help you work through life's twists and turns. Clients say I listen with compassion, care and understanding, seeing things from their point of view and giving them the support and attention they deserve. They know they can be honest with me, tell me anything, share their inner most feelings without being judged or ignored which means we can have a solid, trusting relationship. Clients have thanked me for encouraging them to find who they really are and what they want and trust themselves and the decisions they make.
Clients, just like you, who are experiencing different pressures that life has thrown their way, come to see me. They felt that they need to battle on, looking after everyone else but losing touch with themselves and their own needs. I help them to focus on them again because caring for yourself then gives you the strength you need to take care of others.
After spending many years supporting people in difficult or unpredictable relationships, I am aware that not having anyone to talk to or share their worries with has left them with self doubt and low self esteem. They say being able to voice how they feel and having someone who is interested in them is a breath of fresh air and they can start to learn to be interested in themselves again.
Loss of a parent or loved one is very painful. It is important to give yourself time to grief and remember them without risking upsetting the loved ones around you who are also grieving. Many clients find comfort with me to talk about their loved ones while feeling listened to and supported.
Other forms of loss often not spoken about and difficult to come to terms with include miscarriage, abortion or failed IVF.
You may have lost a relationship or job, or your child has just left home and your wondering what is next for you. All of these can be devastating, leaving us feeling empty and can be difficult for us to navigate alone. You can be unsure where to turn and how to find hope again.
Together we can explore what is hurting you, stopping you from living and moving forward , then we can consider the solutions that will help you get on with living your life again.
During our time together, we will work at your pace on the issues you bring by processing feelings, emotions and building self esteem to help you grow in confidence and cope with pressures that life may bring both now and in the future. This is your time and space for you to spend on yourself. I will not judge you or force my ideas on you, but I will assist you to find ways that work for you.
It is difficult to take that first step especially when you are anxious or have no confidence in yourself, small steps take courage, but together we can find the strength and self belief you need to trust your own judgement, be kinder to yourself and believe in yourself again.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Is the cost of living causing you to lie awake worrying?
I used to help people organise their finances so I understand the difficulties of balancing bills and the stress it can bring. I can help you to cope with difficult feelings and stress and financial worry.
Moving to a foreign country?
I experienced first hand how difficult big life changes can be and the time it takes to adapt. Moving abroad can be a stressful time for you and your family, however with the proper support, you can feel more confident about your next steps.
Struggling to have a family?
I appreciate the distress and upset this can cause and am able to support you through the difficult feelings and emotions triggered by this.
These and other life events have enabled me to appreciate the importance of speaking to someone you trust who isn't directly involved but understands what you're going through.
