About me

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don't have to face it alone. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, stress, and significant life changes.

I have a particular passion for supporting women in midlife. If you're juggling the demands of work, raising children, caring for ageing parents or loved ones, while also navigating the emotional and physical changes that can come with this stage of life, you may be feeling exhausted, lost, or overwhelmed. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone and support is available.

Alongside my qualifications and experience as a counsellor, I bring a wealth of real-world understanding from careers in the corporate sector, education, and running my own business. My personal experiences as a woman, daughter, wife, sister, and mother also help me connect with clients in a genuine, compassionate, and meaningful way.

I believe therapy should be as individual as you are, so I tailor my approach to your unique needs. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect, and make sense of what's happening in your life. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, uncover what's holding you back, and help you develop greater self-understanding, resilience, and confidence so you can move forward with clarity and renewed hope.

Taking the first step in seeking support can be difficult I know, but I would welcome the opportunity to help you through the difficulties you're facing.  I offer a free 30 minute in person consultation at my office in Marlow or online; if you think I can help, please do get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
