About me

BA(Hons) Humanistic Counsellor Accredited 14 years experience.
Have you had enough? Stressed all the time? Does no one understand as everyone is too busy with their own lives? Have you lost your direction and feel like you’re not on the right path? Do you want to talk to someone in a confidential, caring environment?

I BELIEVE
That mind, body & soul should function healthily together. Stress can cause physical & mental symptoms within the body. Counselling offers a safe place where even the most difficult issues can be explored enabling you to take control of your life once more.

..I work short & long term. I'm a Humanistic counsellor who works eclectically, also with CBT, dreams and creatively.

..I work with addictions as I spent 10 years working with adults with addictions, drug, alcohol, gambling etc. I use a CBT approach.

..I worked 10 years with adults & young people for Rape Crisis so have extensive experience of domestic violence, rape, grooming, childhood sexual abuse & trauma work.

..I worked within the chaplaincy of a Hospital counselling breast cancer patients & staff.

..I've worked in most of the Secondary schools in Hampshire as a counsellor.

..I have extensive trauma training & work with nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks, anxiety & depression.

..I work with age 13+

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Fees

Cost is £40 per hour session payable via Paypal or cash. Paypal payments must be received before the sessions otherwise the session will be cancelled. Cash can be paid in the session. I may offer a discount for trainee counsellors depending on income.There is parking and I'm very close to bus stops and train station.
