About me

I work face to face, online & with phone

..Sessions are an hour, I work both short & long term, I'm a humanistic counsellor who works eclectically, also with dreams & creatively.

..I work with addictions as I spent 10 years working with drug/alcohol/gambling addictions. I also work with other addictions & phobias.

..I worked for 10 years for Rape crisis working with adults & teenagers so have extensive experience of domestic abuse, rape/sexual abuse/grooming & trauma.

..I worked within the chaplaincy of a hospital working also with breast cancer patients & staff, I work with clients with a cancer diagnosis & also clients who have come through cancer but still left with anxiety.

..I have extensive trauma training & work as a trauma specialist with clients experiencing nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks, anxiety & depression. Trauma can happen to our minds or bodies & be recent or from the past but the trauma symptoms will usually interfere with your life

..I work with clients who have had or our experiencing dysfunctional or abusive  relationships.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

Cost is £50 per hour session payable via Paypal or cash. Paypal payments must be paid the day before the sessions otherwise the session will be cancelled. Cash can be paid on the day. I may offer a discount for young adults & trainee counsellors. There is parking and I'm very close to bus stops and train stations Hilsea & Cosham.
