About me
A Safe Space to Be Yourself | Person-Centred Counselling in SE14
If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or a bit lost right now, I want you to know that you don’t have to carry that weight alone. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but it is a powerful act of self-care.
About My Practice I am a fully qualified, person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, based in South East London (SE14). My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore what matters most to you—at your own pace.
Building Trust Together It is incredibly important that you feel safe enough to talk about the most difficult or painful issues affecting you. I believe a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of meaningful work. I welcome all parts of you, creating a confidential space where you can speak freely, without fear of judgement.
A Path Towards Change Whether your struggles stem from early childhood or current life situations, our experiences profoundly shape our day-to-day lives. Whether you are navigating:
Anxiety or depression
Past trauma
Relationship difficulties
A general sense of feeling "stuck"
I hold a firm belief that change is possible.
My role is to walk alongside you, helping you identify these difficulties and supporting you as you discover your own path forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Practitioner, working online and in-person.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework. (BACP Registered Member: MBACP 408634)
My continuing professional development training has included certification for: Working with Shame, Ethical Counselling in Substance Misuse, Weight Stigma, Fatphobia and diet culture in the therapy room, Working with Domestic Abuse, Neurodiversity in the counselling room, and Suicide and Trauma.
My experience includes working with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, ages, and sexual orientations. Alongside running my own private practice, I volunteer within a South London performing arts school for young people aged 14-18. I also have experience working in a local community counselling service where I saw a range of clients in person, and with a low-cost online counselling service specialising in addiction and recovery.
Alongside my client work, I am a Skills group tutor on the Higher Professional Diploma (Level 5) counselling course at LC&CTA.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
