About me

I provide psychological therapy to adults with a range of emotional, behavioural or relational difficulties.

I have a therapy space just outside Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. I offer both face to face and remote sessions.

My areas of expertise:

  • Difficulties making/sustaining relationships - identifying unhelpful relationship patterns, thinking about how to communicate/relate to people more effectively
  • Working with people who have experienced trauma
  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Working with people who feel 'stuck' with difficulties they view as being long-term or entrenched
  • Difficulties with emotions or feelings - helping people to connect to their emotions, to feel less fearful and overwhelmed by their emotions and be better able to accept, regulate and express their feelings
  • Working with people who care for others and helping them to find room for themselves
  • Helping people who are highly self-critical to allow themselves greater care and compassion

As a Clinical Psychologist I am trained to work with people of all ages and have received extensive training in multiple psychological theories and frameworks. For example:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

Over the past six years I have developed a significant passion in working to help people understand, name and experience their feelings or emotions. This interest has been driven by my experience that psychological difficulties are quite often rooted in a complicated relationship with our feelings or emotions. Through developing a safe place to explore and play within therapy, I have seen how making space for feelings can help people to lead enriching, fulfilled lives in which they can fully seek and follow their needs, desires and motivations. By following this therapeutic interest, I completed a three-year training course in Experiential Dynamic Therapy in 2018.

If you would like to meet for an initial session, please contact me by email. If you're feeling a bit unsure about therapy and would like some more information to help you decide, please get in touch.
