Julia Normington BA, PG Dip. Clinical Psychotherapeutic Counselling, MBACP
Most people at some time in their lives experience painful and challenging emotions that can be difficult to make sense of. It can help to find professional support to work through the problems and feelings you are facing.
Counselling is different to talking to family and friends and this process can help you speak more honestly and safely about your concerns. It is important to work with someone you feel you can trust and are comfortable with. I work in confidence and non-judgementally with you to explore your concerns, your feelings and how you might feel stuck or conflicted.
People I work with often want to live more as themselves and feel more fulfilled in their lives and counselling can help with this by developing understanding and skills to reflect. This process can lead to greater self acceptance and can help you to make changes, if this is what you want.
I work with adults and offer counselling for issues including anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, divorce, bereavement, cultural issues, isolation and loneliness, transitions, low self-esteem and disordered eating.
I offer short-term and open-ended therapy.
